Creamy Tomato Prawns Pasta

A delightful mix of tomatoes, cream, and juicy Prawns, this pasta dish is packed with flavor. It’s creamy, comforting, and quick to make, making it a perfect choice for dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 300g pasta (penne or spaghetti)
  • 400g fresh Prawns (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • Fresh basil (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Time:

  • Prep time: 10 minutes
  • Cook time: 15 minutes
  • Total time: 25 minutes

Method:

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water, cook pasta until al dente, drain, and set aside.
  2. Cook the Prawns: Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat, cook Prawns for 2-3 minutes until pink. Remove and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Sauce: In the same pan, add garlic and tomatoes. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until tomatoes soften. Add cream, stir, and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add Cheese & Season: Stir in Parmesan and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Combine: Toss in pasta and Prawns until coated with the sauce.
  6. Serve: Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.

Tips: Try adding a pinch of crushed red pepper for a little heat.
